Una and Arngerður are both highly experienced performers and improvisation artists. Alongside with various projects they have been focusing more and more on their own compositions and musical creativity. The project experiments with uniting and sundering the sounds of the organ versus the string instruments and electronics.
Una is an Icelandic violinist and composer. She is founding member of Siggi String Quartet Reykjavík. She has worked closely with Björk, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Atli Heimir Sveinsson and many other artists. With passion for new music she is an active soloist and chamber musician as well as concertmaster of Reykjavík Chamber Orchestra and Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.
Poetry and language have a great impact on my works, the rhythm and movement of it and how it merges into the atmosphere. My music is minimalistic but yet not.

Arngerður is an Icelandic composer, conductor and active performer (organ, Celtic harp, voice). She holds degrees in composition, choir conducting and organ performance. She is a part of the highly acclaimed ensemble Umbra with whom she has recorded four albums. These days her main focus is on writing music for film & tv as well as concert music. I am inspired by ancient and modern poetry, tales and visual arts. My music is highly atmospheric and emotional where my experiments with colours, various sounds and textures are essential.
