Inger-Lise Ulsrud is a professor in organ and improvisation at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and Head organist in Uranienborg Church. She has an extensive international concert activity, has taken part in numerous organ festivals in Russia and many European countries and has given many masterclasses abroad and in Norway. She has released her own CD´s and participated in many TV, radio and CD-productions.
Ulsrud was previously Head of the church music department at the Norwegian Academy of Music for several years. She has been a member of the Choral Book Committee in
connection with the publication of Norwegian Hymn Book 2013. She has also been a jury member at Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, a board member of Oslo International Church Music Festival and Oslo Organ Festival.
In 2018 her book in Organ Improvisation was published. Ulsrud is regularly used as a jury member at international organ competitions, most recently at The 2nd Nordic Organ Competition in Stavanger 2020. She was artistic director of Bodø International Organ Festival in 2020 and 2021(Norway).
