Organist Sólveig Anna Aradóttir studied piano with Nína Margréti Grímsdóttir. She began her musical journey in a children's choir led by Þórunn Björnsdóttir and later continued with Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir, also singing with the Sönghopurinn við Tjörnina with Gunnar Gunnarsson. Sólveig graduated with a degree in church music from the National Church's Music School under the guidance of Guðnýjar Einarsdóttir. She also studied choir conducting with Hörður Áskelsson and Magnús Ragnarsson. Sólveig finished a Bachelor's degree in Creative Music Communication from the Iceland Academy of the Arts and completed a cantor's degree from the National Church Music School with Eyþór Inga Jónsson's guidance. She worked as an organist in Akureyri Church from autumn 2016 to March 2017 and led the Akureyri Women's Choir during that time. Sólveig has also led children's choirs in Langholt Church (Graduale choir, Choir School), Fella- and Hóla Church. She has worked as a substitute organist in various locations. Sólveig has also served as a concert director for the International Organ Summer in Hallgrímskirkja. She has a B.M. degree in church music from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, and she is currently finishing her master's degree in organ playing at the same school. Additionally, she works as an organist at Ansgar Church in Copenhagen, as an organist of the Icelandic congregation in Copenhagen, as the founder and choir director of the Icelandic Children's Choir, and as the choir director of the men's choir Hafnarbræður.
