Limited opening hours into the nave of the church from 27th August - 2nd September.

New lighting system

Due to installation of a new lighting system in Hallgrímskirkja church, there will be limited opening into the nave of the churtch on the following days: Saturday, August 27th. Monday, August 29th. up to and including Friday 2nd. of September (approx).

The tower, the church shop and the foyer of the church will remain open (10 am to 7:30 pm.)

Work on the interior lighting will continue in the coming weeks, but it is expected that some or all of

the nave will be open during the work. Liturgical events and organ concerts will take place at their traditional times, We apologize for the inconvenience.
