Mass on Sundays

Masses are held every Sunday between 11:00 and 12:15.

The church's priests take turns preaching and serving at the altar.

Björn Steinar Sólbergsson is an organist.

Steinar Logi Helgason is the choir director of the Hallgrímskirkja Choir.

The Hallgrímskirkja choir sings during services, but guest choirs also sing at masses several times a year.

Sunday school

During the winter, Sunday School runs concurrently with church services.

Morning Service – Wednesdays at 10:00–10:30
Meditation with organ music – Thursdays at 12:00–12:30 during the winter.
Light refreshments in the South Hall afterwards
Evening Church – Last Thursday of the month 20:00–22:00 during the winter

Parents’ Mornings – Wednesdays at 10:00–12:00 (entrance at the back)
Knitting Club – Saturdays at 10:00–12:00 in the choir basement (entrance at the back)
