 Anne Kirstine Mathiesen is the Principal Organist at Sct. Nicolai Church in Køge, Denmark. She studied organ under the guidance of Professor Hans Fagius at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where she completed her Master's degree with distinction in 1993, and earned an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in 1995. She has participated in masterclasses with Andrea Marcon, Harald Vogel, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Olivier Latry, and Anders Bondemann.

 From 1997 to 1998, she served as Second Organist at Copenhagen Cathedral. She has received several awards and distinctions in Denmark and has performed throughout Scandinavia, as well as in Germany, Scotland, the Netherlands, Estonia, the Faroe Islands, and Iceland.

 She is an active chamber musician and performs with several ensembles, including an early music ensemble with the Danish cornettist Lene Langballe, Ensemble Norðsól with soprano Svafa Þórhallsdóttir and cellist Hanna Englund, an organ duo with the Danish organist Vibeke Astner, and a piano-organ duo with the Danish pianist Jens Ramsing. She also collaborates frequently with Danish professional choirs and ensembles.
