On Sunday, September 27th at 5 pm, a milestone will be celebrated by organist Björn Steinar Sólbergsson with a concert in Hallgrímskirkja.

Björn Steinar celebrates 40 years as organist at the National Church of Iceland; 20 years at Akureyri Church and 20 years at Hallgrímskirkja. Earlier this year, his new CD, Icelandic Organ Music, was released. The concert will also be the release concert for the CD.

The program will feature a selection of works related to the new release and the musical world that has accompanied Björn Steinar throughout his four-decade career. This will be both a festive musical event and an occasion to celebrate a long and successful career.

And not only that, Björn Steinar also has a birthday today!

It is therefore truly a cause for celebration and we warmly welcome you to participate in this special moment.
