Peace, tranquility and contemplation along with unconventional music for church.

During the evening church, phones are turned off and conversations are left until outside. A reading is given every half hour and musical performances encourage reflection and relaxation. Everyone is free to walk quietly around the church, sit or lie in the pews or on mattresses on the floor, light candles, move between stations, and write what is on their hearts on notes and place them in baskets.

Evening Mass in Hallgrímskirkja is on the last Thursday of the month during the winter between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
