The choirs Kyrja and Yrkja join forces and perform the magnificent All-Night Vigil / Vespers by Sergei Rachmaninoff in Hallgrímskirkja, performed by twenty singers without a conductor.
On All Saints' Day, November 1st, we come together to remember those who have died, and the concert is especially dedicated to the victims of the war in Ukraine and Palestine.
Kyrja and Yrkja are ambitious singing groups under the artistic direction of Philips Barkhudarov and Sólveigar Sigurðardóttir.
Doors open at 4:30 PM, half an hour before the concert.
Before and after the concert, guests are invited to light a candle in memory of their loved ones and in solidarity with the victims of war and violence, and let the light carry with it remembrance, hope, and peace.
The concert is a collaboration between Kyrja, Yrkja and Hallgrímskirkja and is part of the concert series Autumn in Hallgrímskirkja 2026.

Vocal ensembles Kyrja and Yrkja join forces to perform Sergei Rachmaninoff's magnificent All-Night Vigil (Vespers) in Hallgrímskirkja, sung by twenty voices without a conductor.

The concert is presented in collaboration with Hallgrímskirkja as part of the church's Autumn Concert Series 2026.
